Brian and Catherine returned to Guernsey from London’s West End in 2003 and started G.A.T.E the same year. Both Brian and Catherine are professional performers and have many West End shows to their credit. Catherine trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School and Brian at the Guildford School of Acting and West Street Ballet School.
Upon leaving, they have 24 years of professional theatre work between them. They started G.A.T.E. at the beginning of 2003 to pass on this experience. It has been a resounding success teaching all aspects of the performing arts, including I.S.T.D ballet, tap and modern as well as street jazz, adult tap, drama and singing. G.A.T.E also runs workshops in the Easter and Summer Holidays, with guest teachers from West End shows. They also produce an annual end of year show and enter dance festivals and eisteddfods.
Catherine and Brian are lucky enough to have a excellent team of highly trained staff to help them teach their talented students.
